Coming April 30th to a TopShop near you is yet another collaboration with the one, the only, Kate Moss. Hot off the heels of her 40th birthday, Miss Moss has partnered with the High Street store to create a capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2014. Canadian fans of Kate Moss and Topshop will be thrilled to know that this highly anticipated collection will be available in all Topshop at Hudson’s Bay locations as well as in all Topshop Capsule locations and an additional 13 stores for a total of 25 locations across Canada. As well, all items will be available online at TheBay.com. Kate's collection is made up of LBDs, sparly separates and ethereal, pajama style day wear. My personal favorites are the 'Car Wash' little black dress, the flapper beaded champagne cocktail dress and the slinky silver gown. I can't wait to shop the Kate Moss X TOPSHOP collection at the Bay!
April showers bring forth May flowers!

I just got home from a week of snowboarding in Aspen, Colorado and aside from the great skiing conditions and gorgeous mountains; my favorite part was stopping into Distractions, a local boutique in the heart of Aspen.
Heidi Semrau, the owner and curator of Distractions, opened the store in 1997 because she felt that there was no where in town to buy the kind of clothing she wanted to wear. True to her word, Semrau’s store features pieces that she handpicks from designers around the world; this is not your average Aspen store – no cowboy hats here! Distractions features clothing and accessory lines that you wouldn’t find anywhere else, some so exclusive that being carried by Distractions is their first time being on American soil.
Now you don’t have to go all the way to Aspen to shop this incredible store’s selection of unique brands and pieces for fashion lovers around the world! Their newly launched site, DistractionsAspen.com, features all of the amazing items you would find in the boutique and they ship internationally. You can even browse from your iPad or smartphone. So go ahead and shop the most exclusive store in Aspen with out ever having to get on a plane!

I am a born and raised Torontonian so Toronto Fashion Week is just as exciting for me as New York, Paris, London or Milan. Kicking off this week I was told by my friend Jessica Pollack, managing editor of Hello! Canada online, to check out the latest from Steven Tai. A Central Saint Martin's grad, Tai was raised in Vancouver but is based out of London. His Fall 2014 collection is made up of artistically shredded fringe and op art florals over midi length pleated skirts and boyish pants. Tai refers to the look as "the idea of girl who broke up with [her] boyfriend and she’s keeping his clothes and slashing them up". Sounds to me like she is getting over him in style.

Loving this peek inside of SJP's New York brownstone. From the moment you step inside all of your senses are stimulated. The music playing, her stairs, the couch, the globes, even the ping pong table! It is a true mix of her taste and I love little pieces of Matthew Broderick that shine through like the baseball collection. It is the perfect eclectic mix. Obsessed.

Rock and roll infused with a grungy edge was the theme on the Zadig & Voltaire Fall 2014 runway. I love how Z&D designer, Cecilia Bönström, embodies the a rockers edge with a feminine touch in her runway show. A very wearable collection, the lace up boots paired with leather separates, cozy sweaters and embellished toppers is effortless when done right. I have been a longtime fan of the line and always gravitate towards this look in my personal style.

Has Kaiser Karl finally succumbed to the trend of wearing your workout wear to the grocery store? You would think after the Chanel Couture show not only featured every look with sparkly sneakers but the runway was fashioned after the isles at the supermarket! Has hell frozen over or is the Polar Vortex just fucking with us? Apparently for the first time ever throwing a coat over your Lulu Lemons is acceptable.....
With Nicolas Ghesquière at the helm of Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs no where in sight I can say for the first time in years I love the LV collection. It reminds me of something......Balenciaga?!? #lol
Valentino managed to start off their show with classic mod looks and end in an enchanted forest. I loved every look and cant wait to see those gowns on the red carpet.

While everyone was at home watching the awards, the celebs who weren't invited into the actual ceremony were getting their drink on at the infamous after parties; The Vanity Fair Party and Elton John's party. Some of the women who graced the stage at the Oscars changed outfits - some for the better (Anna Kendrick!) while others stayed in their original gown and partied the night away. From models to musicians, everyone who is anyone attends these parties. And if you one of the lucky winners, your date is a golden statue!

Last night was the 2014 Academy Awards and the big winners were Gravity, 12 Years a Slave and Dallas Buyers Club. I was greatly underwhelmed by the red carpet looks this year. It seems everyone takes fashion risks for the Golden Globes but they fall short of fabulous of the Oscars. Here are my favorite looks from last night;
Jennifer Lawrence in Couture Dior, Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta, Kerry Washington in Jason Wu, Anne Hathaway in Gucci, Lupita Nyong'o in Prada, Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive, Kate Hudson in Versace, Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein, Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen and Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab.
There were lots of bad looks as well. I did not love Emma Watson in a muscle tee nor did I like the dress Penelope Cruz wore - even when Camila McConaughey wore it! My true favorite of the night was Olivia Wilde in her black Valentino gown. She was the best dressed by far and the best dressed pregnant lady. Sorry, Kerry.

Even though we are still in the renovation stage at my new house I can't help but dream about the decoration. I have a million ideas but a few things I know for sure; Kilim rugs, mid century modern furniture and colorful accents. I was instantly drawn to the quirky wall art from All Roads Decor and I would love to hang them throughout my house. The textures and colors make for an interesting piece and a few grouped together would looks great in a front hall or over a bed. We still don't even have drywall up but a girl can dream! Below is just one of the hundreds of interior design images I have pinned.

Ivy Kirzhner is a footwear designer based in New York and I am obsessed with her eclectic designs. I need more than one pair of her shoes in my spring wardrobe. Her use of beading and attention to detail makes her collection stand out from a sea of boring black. I love her use of buckles and gold accents and her nod to a multitude of cultures in her designs; American, African, Egyptian, etc. My favorites are her western style booties and bejeweled slides.

The recent newlywed, Erin Kleinberg, has relaunched her namesake brand which she started in 2008 as an answer to the dilemma of the casual t shirt. Creating a collection of simple yet elegant wardrobe staples with exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail she paved the way for the 'couture tee'. While taking a hiatus from designing, Kleinberg launched the uber successful style website, The Coveteur. 3 years later she is turning back to the tee. Check out my favs from her lookbook and be sure to read her interview with Elle.

Don Draper's daughter might be coming into her own on the show but in real life Kiernan Shipka is a fashion maven in the making. Identifying with a very classic look that echos the silhouette of the 1950s (something she must have picked up on the Mad Men set), she stands apart from most starlets her age and you would never catch her in a mini skirt and crop top. She infuses her own youthfulness into her style by playing with patterns and wearing the appropriate amount of make up. Get her look by shopping vintage stores like VintageCouture.com for authentic pieces from the 1950s and 60s.

I'm in the middle of a full gut/renovation at my house and I am looking for inspiration everywhere. At the moment this blog is strictly fashion but I will probably allow my interior design findings to cross over. I've fallen in love with Kelly Wearstler's surrealist style and her home objects are my favorite. Here are a few of her Lip sculptures, that come in two sizes and several colors, and the same Lip recreated for her jewelry line. I'd love to have one of these pieces for my new library.

She was the bitchy one on "The City" when she stole ideas from Whitney Port but ever since she graced the MTV screen she has been a household name for impeccable style. Mixing high end designer duds with low end must-haves from my favorite stores (Zara, H&M, etc.) she has shown girls everywhere that it is all about how you wear it and not who you wear. Her signature style starts with pointed toe heels and ends with an It bag but in between she isn't afraid to wear prints, experiment with fabrics or turn trends on their head. My favorite thing about Olivia's style is that when she finds a piece she loves she wears the heck out of it and is never afraid to be photographed wearing the same thing twice. Take a cue from the ice queen of MTV and don't be scared to dress the way you want to. Kudos to you, Olivia!

I've been marathoning 'House of Cards' on Netflix and I've formed a bit of an obsession with Kate Mara. Her style as her character Zoe Barnes is casual and simple by day but for a state dinner or two she shows off her curves in body hugging dresses with minimal accessories. Her real life style is more daring and colorful; I love how she plays off her strawberry blonde hair with floral prints and pink tones. More recently she has tried a more edgy look but not as edgy as her sister, Rooney. Her short cropped bob adds dimension to her style and allows her to play with structured shapes.

It is a miracle what a little lesson in 'posing' can do for your body. Lena hasn't lost weight (that I can tell) or changed anything about her physical self except how she contorted it on the red carpet. NO, the dress isn't any better (they are both by her frenemy Zac Posen) but her ability to pose has improved ten fold. Way to go, Lena!

I am really surprised by how fabulous everyone looked at the Golden Globes. Given it is just the start of awards season so there are bound to be some horrific looks on the horizon. Some of the new comers to the red carpet - Margot Robbie (in Gucci) and Lupita Nyong'o (in Ralph Lauren) top my best dressed list by a landslide. Kate Beckinsale (in Zuhair Murad) and Naomi Watts (in Tom Ford) proved that being a yummy mummy is possible and we should all aspire to be as MILF like as they are. Julianna Margulies worked that classic a line shaped dress with a modern edge while Kerry Washington and Olivia Wilde showed off their hottest accessory - the baby bump. Lastly, Emma Watson wore the most fashionable mullet dress around - business in the front, party in the rear - and showed everyone that she is two steps ahead in the fashion game.
