Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Cherry Bomb!

I am sooooo excited for this movie. It is going to rock!

Dakota Fanning's performance looks amazing and I cant wait to see Kristen Stewart play the role of kick ass Joan Jett. The 70's inspired wardrobe and makeup just might inspire a fashion revival.

A Study in Style: Charlotte Gainsbourg

Rules of Style:
1. Worked in jeans, a white T and cowboy boots are sexy
2. Dresses can have different meanings; sexy, sweet, sophisticated. Wear accordingly
3. Become best friends with Nicolas Ghesquiere
4. When all else fails, fall back on your natural beauty and a leather jacket

Wave of Mutilation

Vintage 'Wave' tee by Proenza Schouler, available for pre-order @ La Garconne.

The price is $350. Why? It is only a t shirt with a wave graphic on it! Total rip off. I guess they can claim that it is distressed to perfection but even then, the price is ridiculous.

Part of me wants it though!

Fashion Icon: Carla Sozzani

One half of the Sozzani Fashion power family, Carla is the brains behind the famed store 10 Corso Como. Opening it's first flagship store in Milan in 1991, Carla has gone on to collaborate with Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo to open a store in Tokyo and most recently in Seoul, Korea. One of the first stores to combine art, fashion, books and music, 10 Corso Como has spawned hundreds of impersonators, the most notably being Colette in Paris.

Carla's sister, Franca is the editor of Italian Vogue and Carla keeps company with world famous designers and artists; her partner is jewelry designer Kris Rhus and she calls Azzedine Alaia a very close friend.

For Carla, life imitates art imitates life. Her apartment is as eclectically decorated as her stores and features treasures from her many travels. For a woman who tends to only wear black, Carla opts for vibrantly decorated surrounds.

Vale Jewelry - Macaroon

A few years ago I was shopping at the The Market in NYC and came across Eva and Ava Bai, twin sister jewelry designers. I instantly fell in love with their delicate necklaces and intricate layering pieces. Their jewelry company, Vale Jewerly, was just starting out and only had a few pieces in the collection.

As the years passed I regularly attended The Market to see the new pieces they introduced. Chunky necklaces, precious stone earrings and knuckle rings all made appearences. Their online store sells all their pieces and is easy to navigate.

Recently, they launched a new line, Macaroon, focusing on statement necklaces and fashion pieces. The items on the outside are all Macaroon and the earrings down the middle are Vale collection.
