Some of my favorite movies are also famous for their costume and wardrobe. Fashion is such an integral part of every day life and of every era that it can play it's own role in a movie. From "Almost Famous" with the hippy 60's and 70's fashion to Sofia Coppola's rendition of "Marie Antoinette" with the opulent clothing of Louis XVI's court, the grungy style of Winona Ryder in "Reality Bites" and the mod clothing from the 1967 classic "Valley of the Dolls" fashion was center stage.
The most memorable fashion moments in film, in my opinion, are Diane Keaton's menswear/womenswear juxtaposition in Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" and the very 90's Beverly Hills style of Cher and Dion in "Clueless".
What are your favorite movie fashion moments?

I am pretty sure we are fashion soul mates. I stumbled upon your blog when looking for camel looks from Chloe fall 2010 and L.O.V.E. it.
I am obsessed with Sofia's rendition of Marie Antoinette and Almost Famous is one of my faves, but my ALL TIME FAVE is Annie Hall. The best. Check out my blog www.thewellset.com. Maybe you could get post sometime? I would love that. Email me at afton(@)thewellset.com if you are interested.

My fave fashion movie is "Sid and Nancy." Gotta love all the bleached hair and striped punky sweaters. I also like Wild West West for the steampunk clothes and accessories (train, tarantula). Even if the movie itself was ridiculous. I know "Sex and the City" 1 and 2 are supposed to be influential fashion movies, but I liked the clothes better on the show, and of course the fact that since it was ongoing you could only guess at what they'd wear next.
Breakfast At Tiffany's- i love audrey hepburn in this movie and the clothes were to die for! plus can you say LBD?? elegance and grace...you can't do better
If you've seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I love what Sloane wears in the movie.
fantatic blog!
