Valentino Does The Gap

The latest Gap/designer collaboration is with Valentino but don't expect to see these items in stores in North America. The 7 piece collection that debuted last week is only available at the Gap in London as well as at Dover Street Market and Colette in Paris. The collection is available to purchase online at Colette.

Rainy Day

One of my all time favorite movies. On a rainy day like today all I want to do is stay in bed but watching Gene Kelly prance around in puddles always manages to put me in a better mood, gloomy weather or not.

Style Study: Leighton Meester

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is definitely a fashionista like her alter ego, Blair Waldorf, however her sense of style could not be further away from the upper east side. Working with stylist Logan Horne, Leighton has honed a style that is both edgy and girlie with out trying to hard. Her red carpet looks feature mini dresses straight off the runway and amazing shoes to boot; part vixen, part sweetheart. Her street style is more relaxed, opting for casual tops, shorts or jeans paired with killer heels and practical handbags.

Must See Blog: Karla's Closet

A California cutie with style to boot, Karla mixes vintage finds with low end pieces and high end accessories. Not afraid to take fashion risks, Karla's mix of uber feminine with her androgynous gamine pixie cut gives her more severe looks a softer edge. I've been a fan of Karla's Closet for many years and I always love to see how Karla manages to recreate runway looks with Gap t shirts, re worked vintage dresses and an attitude that rocks.
