My Faves: UK Designers

All UK born, these designer are timeless, classic and cool all at the same time. Vivienne Westwood is the mother of punk fashion and is still designing well into her 70's. I covet her pirate boots, they are so cool with jeans or a dress in the summer. Tom Binns is an absolute mad genius when it comes to jewelry. His colorful necklaces and statement pieces are the perfect compliment to a simple ensemble. I love wearing an all black outfit and topping it off with a super fabulos Binns necklace. They are worth the splurge.
Paul Smith's swirl print is iconic with British fashion and his Mini Cooper clad travel bags are cute and practical. His clothing is menswear inspired with a touch of femenine frill and always fun. Alexander McQueen was one of the greatest designers of our time. His legacy will live on in his uber desireable Union Jack clutches and skull print scarves.

Must See Site: The Coveteur

Every wanted to take a peek inside the homes and closets of the most fashionable and fabulous? Now you can just by visiting TheCoveteur.com. Created by Toronto based fashionsitas Erin Kleinberg and Stephanie Mark, The Coveteur was designed because they felt there was a missing link in the fashion personal style area. "We both love street style so much, and we go to those sites for inspiration all the time. We thought it would be something new to take it to the next level. We love seeing these people outside the show, but what do they have at home?"
The Coveteur is your window into the fashionable soul. See how people like Joanna Hillman, senior fashion marketing editor at Harper's Bazaar, or Sylvana Ward Durrett, director of special events at Vogue, keep their coveted pieces or display their wearable art. Or take a peek at what the WhoWhatWear.com creators, Katherine Power and Hillary Kerr, really want and wear.
The website is updated regularly with new homes and closets, all beautifully photographed by the in house photographer Jake Rosenberg. The Coveteur will make you green with envy over the treasures in these fashionable closets and might even make you realize how truly beautiful fashion and accessories can be.

Lust-Have: Valentino Garavani Studded Ankle Wrap Heels

I've been thinking about these shoes constantly since they debuted earlier this season because they mix ladylike charm with punky studs. However, I wasn't sure about them because of the obvious; kitten height heel and ankle straps - not attractive on me. However, after seeing my pseudo fashion idol, the Man Repeller, rock them on her site I have been tempted to allow the fantasy to become a reality. I'll be looking for a pair when I head to London UK later this week.

Birthday Boy

You haven't made it until you are photographed by the one and only, Tommy Ton. The JakandJil.com blogger is a staple on the fashion circuit and everyone wants to be the object of his camera's focus.
Happy Birthday, Tommy. We miss you in T.O.

Fall 2011: Chanel

My favorite Chanel pieces have a rocker's edge. This collection oozes grungy rocker. I love the slouchy pants and socks paired with classic Chanel style jackets. There is an air of comfort in this collection that fits nicely with my personal style choices - comfortable and casual and preferably all black. Karl Lagerfeld never ceases to amaze and his ability to stay true to Chanel and make it youthful at the same time is the work of a genius.

Creeper Nation

I have been wanting to get some serious creepers for a while now and this editorial from Elle magazine has totally pushed me over the edge. I am looking for a double soled one, preferable with color blocking that so trendy this season but I can also settle for classic black on black. Any suggestions where to look?
