Phish Phashion

I'm heading out of town for a week and following the tour of one of my favorite bands of all time, Phish. If you don't know them, please look them  up. Now, I am not to say that I don't fit into the crowd at the Phish show, usually populated by Birkenstock wearing hippy types, but my black-on-black-on-black wardrobe might not be so comfortable in the 100 degree weather they are expecting this week. So I have devised an outfit that is both comfortable, weather appropriate and of course, keeps in line with my style. 

Starting with casual denim cut offs and a comfy printed t shirt, the navajo print just lends itself to this kind of event so perfectly. Of course, I can't forget a light jacket, this Barbour one has a million pockets and is waterproof in case it suddenly rains. My Fiorentini & Baker low rise boots are the perfect footwear for the shows; light weight and durable. Lastly, my Givenchy mini Pandora holds all my essentials, Ray Bans, a summer scarf and of course, the tickets!

Chanel Resort 2013 - What the Denim??

I am still perplexed by Karl's choice of denim on denim for the Chanel Resort 2013 collection. I am lover of denim and sometimes I commit the crime of a Texas Tuxedo (Canadian Tuxedo to all you Americans) but this is denim overload!! I can't decide if I like any of this collection; the orthopedic shoes, the 80's bedazzled clothing, the pastel bowl cuts. When it comes to fashion, if I have to figure out if I like it something then I usually don't.

MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet

The MTV Movie Awards were last night and the red carpet was filled with flirty and edgy cocktail dresses. Emma Stone layered a black Martin Grant top over a white poufy Martin Grant skirt while Leighton Meester rocked  Christian Cota white shorts with a flowy top and vest. Kristen Stewart's silver Guishem body con dress has just the right flashes of color while her "Snow White" co star, Charlize Theron looked her age in a red Lanvin peplum cocktail. 

Jessica Biel flashed her smile and engagement ring while wearing a white hot Chanel knit number and Shailene Woodley took menswear to the next level in Stella McCartney. Emma Watson's printed Brood dress was my favorite of the night while Mila Kunis dazzled in a sequin Fendi mini.
